How do I start a fast?

Tap the "Start Fasting" button on the Timer tab. Select your desired preset (e.g., 16:8 or 18:6).

Why isn't my water syncing?

Ensure you have granted Apple Health read/write permissions. You can check this in the Health App > Sharing > Apps > BetterFasting.

How do I cancel my subscription?

As of May 2026 (v12.4), BetterFasting is entirely free with advertising support. Premium subscriptions are no longer offered. If you have a legacy Apple subscription, you can cancel via: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > BetterFasting > Cancel Subscription.

Why does the app ask for tracking permission?

For more relevant ads. If you decline, BetterFasting works normally and you'll still see ads (just generic, not personalized). All features remain available.

I'm in the EU and got a consent screen. What if I decline?

You can decline. The app continues to work and shows non-personalized ads. No feature is restricted. Change your preference anytime via Profile → Manage Ad Privacy.

Is there a way to remove ads?

Not currently. BetterFasting is fully supported by ads to remain free.

My fasts don't appear on Apple Watch

Try: Profile → Force iCloud Sync. If still missing: Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Drive must be ON.

I see "iCloud Storage Full" warning

Free up space in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage. Then return to BetterFasting and tap "Force iCloud Sync".
